ECT Charity is a leading charity in the UK which provides high quality, safe, friendly, accessible and affordable transport in local communities.
We are a leading provider of local community transport in the UK providing essential transport solutions, particularly for socially isolated people and those with mobility difficulties unable to access other services. We also offer a group transport service for local non-profit organisations such as charities and community groups.
ECT Charity is both a charity and a social enterprise, combining business thinking with social values to deliver high quality transport services that positively benefit the local communities.
By providing transport to people who are unable to access mainstream transport services, we deliver public benefit by supporting community participation and engagement and enabling people to access more opportunities to improve their lives.
In 2012 we delivered, as lead partner, the London 2012 Accessible Shuttles project on behalf of the Olympic Delivery Authority. In 2014, we provided the accessible shuttle service for the Invictus Games in London. Read more about these special projects here.

ECT Charity started as Ealing Community Transport in 1979 whose mission was to provide transport for older and disabled people in Ealing.
Over three decades later, the organisation has grown tremendously, but our headquarters remain at our depot in Greenford and we continue to provide a wide variety of services across the borough. In recent years, we replicated the success and community benefit to other regions in the UK including Ealing, Milton Keynes, Cheshire and Dorset and Cornwall. Currently our umbrella brand ECT Charity now represents our four community transport companies:

Ealing Community Transport (ECT) has been named as the winner of a national competition celebrating the impact of social enterprises on their communities and wider society.
A Dorset voluntary group helping people with leg-related problems has stepped up its services over the past few months – thanks to a new minibus provided by Dorset Community Transport (DCT).
Following a major consultation exercise with our team, ECT Charity has developed a fresh vision and mission, and a new set of values, to guide our work as a charity and social enterprise.
