Local bus services

We operate minibuses on a number of local bus routes. Please check the routes below and catch the bus as you would a normal public bus service – there is no need to contact us to book (we are unable to accept bookings).

We currently operate the following local bus services:

  • 14 Birdsmoorgate and Thorncombe to Chard, via South Chard (see timetable here)
  • 97 Fordingbridge to Ringwood, via Alderholt, Cranborne and Verwood (see timetable here)
  • 88 Sturminster Marshall and Colehill to Wimborne (see timetable here)*
  • 688 Thorncombe to Axminster, via Hawkchurch (see timetable here)

* Temporary change to bus service 88:

Due to temporary road closure of St John’s Hill from 22 July for 4 weeks through to 21 August. Please be advised this service will not be serving Leigh Road or St John’s Hill on leaving Wimborne 1038, 1208 and 1338. The service will still serve Lewens Lane (for St Catherine’s Church & The Quarter Jack Surgery) and will divert via Rowlands Hill to Cranfield Ave. Timetable will remain unchanged.

Please note that concessionary passes are accepted on these services (in accordance with the entitlement and extensions determined by the respective local authority). Click here for Dorset County Council’s Travel Dorset bus timetable page.

“In the present climate of cut-backs your service is truly appreciated especially by older folk like myself who no longer drive. It is hoped that this service may long continue.” Rosemary, Route 14
