Services by area

Our transport services in Ealing are provided by Ealing Community Transport (also known as ECT). We operate from a depot in Greenford and have been providing community transport services in and around the London Borough of Ealing for three decades.

Our vehicles are fully wheelchair accessible and our drivers are trained to the nationally-recognised and accredited MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) standard, which is administered by the Community Transport Association.

Group Transport Services

What is Group Transport and can I use this service?

Our Group Transport services are available for voluntary and community organisations including charities, social groups and schools. We enable groups to book a minibus for their own use.

We can provide your group with a professional, uniformed driver who has received MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) and first aid training, and has been cleared by DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service, previously CRB).

Alternatively, your group can nominate a volunteer to drive instead (provided that the driver has received MiDAS training, either from the training courses we provide or from elsewhere).

When and where can I travel?

You can travel anywhere in the UK, on any day of the week.

How do I register?

Call us 020 8813 3210 or email ealing@ectcharity.co.uk.

How do I book a minibus?

Call us on 020 8813 3210, or email ealing@ectcharity.co.uk or complete our online form.

How much does it cost?

There is an annual membership fee:

£25 for statutory groups

£5 for community groups

Additionally, there is a fixed charge of £70 for each booking (which is reduced to £35 for community groups). This fixed charge allows you to drive for up to 15 miles. Any additional mileage is charged at 95p per mile.

If you require one of our professional drivers, you will be charged on an hourly basis, with a minimum of three hours.

Please contact us for a full list of charges or a quote.

How is the service funded?

We do not receive any subsidy for our Group Transport service – we provide it as part of our commitment to help improve transport opportunities to individuals within the community.
