PlusBus for Health is a service that ECT has offered since 2014 to help patients travel between their homes and GP surgeries. The service aims to reduce the number of GP house calls and missed appointments, while improving the wellbeing of patients by offering them an opportunity to leave their homes and meet new people.
The service is funded by Ealing CCG, and is free for GPs and patients to use.
Our PlusBus for Health service can be booked by GP practices if patients are having trouble getting to and from the surgery. The service is available throughout the borough of Ealing (which includes Ealing, Hanwell, Acton, Northolt, Greenford, and Southall). If you think you might be eligible to use PlusBus for Health, ask the staff at your GP’s reception to book transport for you.
GP Surgeries can ring 020 8813 3214 to find out more about the service, or can email email@example.com to make a booking.
PlusBus for Health users might also be interested in ECT’s PlusBus service, which helps local residents get out and about by offering door-to-door travel within the Borough of Ealing. To find out more about this service, click here.
