Firefighters from Acton Fire Station hosted their annual Easter Tea Party on Easter Sunday in partnership with Ealing Community Transport.
The event was a great success with plenty of tea and chocolate Easter eggs, music, bingo and a ballet performance by local children. Firefighters got into the festive spirit by wearing Easter bunny ears which left plenty of smiles on faces.
The party was attended by members of the local community, including those who are more vulnerable, and Ealing Community Transport played a crucial role in helping them arrive.
Ealing Community Transport not only provided door-to-door transport for the event, but also helped to find those in the community who might benefit most, working with other organisations like Age UK.
Fayyaz Dar, General Manager at Ealing Community Transport, said: “Acton Fire Station events really help bring people together. Making sure that people can take part in events like these by providing transport is an important part of our role in tackling social isolation for older and disabled people.”
The next community event at Acton Fire Station is scheduled to take place in August.
