Anthony Kelly, a longstanding and valued member of our driving team at Ealing Community Transport, was officially sworn in as Mayor of Ealing on Tuesday 13 May.
Anthony joined Ealing Community Transport in 2016, driving one of our minibuses that takes young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities from their homes to The ARC in Ealing, which provides fun, engaging and stimulating activities for their service users. Deeply engaged with the community in Ealing, Anthony has also been a local Councillor since 2014.
“I’d like to congratulate Anthony on his appointment as Mayor” said Kez Etan, General Manager at Ealing Community Transport. “Serving our community is at the heart of everything he does, so I’m sure he will bring that passion and commitment to the role.
“Anthony’s contribution at Ealing Community Transport has been outstanding – always willing to help, always there for the community groups we work with – often volunteering for them in his spare time. Even with the responsibilities of his new role, he still covers a driving shift now and then when time permits.”
John Chesters, ECT Charity CEO said “We are all delighted for Ealing’s new Mayor, not only because it brings deserved recognition to an outstanding contributor to our community, but also because it provides him with an opportunity to do even more good – which he will relish.”
