The 2RN bus service, which connects Wareham with the RSPB Nature Reserve at Arne, has been extended to cover the 2024 spring half term and easter holidays. To encourage families to get out and enjoy all RSPB Arne has to offer during the holidays, children under the age of 19 will travel for free.

The service will run six times a day, Monday to Friday, between 12-16 February (half term) and 1-12 April. Full timetable details can be found here.

“We’re delighted that the 2RN has been extended to cover half term and the Easter holidays” said Tim Christian, General Manager at Dorset Community Transport. “Arne is a wonderful place to visit and has recently been featured on BBC Winterwatch. The service will help families access the site without the need for a car – ensuring that everyone can have a great day out in nature without the hassle.”

In addition to school holidays, the service will also run on the 7th and 8th February and the 6th and 7th March. Normal fares will apply on these dates.

We hope to be announcing details of the summer timetable soon.
