PlusBus services to and from Sherborne
Many of our PlusBus services that serve Yeovil also serve Sherborne, so if you’d like to visit Sherborne, go to the shops or the supermarket – or to simply get out and about, then PlusBus could be just what you’ve been looking for.
Yeovil ‘A’ Service:
- The following service runs to and from Sherborne on alternate Thursdays
- Starting from the Okeford Fitzpaine area at 9:30, the service travels via villages including Ibberton, Woolland, Droop, Hazelbury Bryan, Kingston, King’s Stag, Holwell, and Bishop’s Caundle. The service then drops off in Sherborne before travelling onto Yeovil
- Return journey departs Sherborne at 12:45
- National Bus Pass holders can travel for zero fare on this service (there is no longer a half fare charge on this service)

Yeovil ‘C’ Service:
- The following service runs to and from Sherborne on alternate Thursdays
- Starting from the Fiddleford area at 9:30, the service travels via villages including Bagber, Lydlinch, Stourton Caundle, Stalbridge Weston, Stalbridge, Henstridge and Milborne Port. The service then drops off in Sherborne before travelling onto Yeovil
- Return journey departs Sherborne at 12:45
- National Bus Pass holders can travel for zero fare on this service (there is no longer a half fare charge on this service)

Wriggle Valley services:
The Wriggle Valley PlusBus connects the Wriggle Valley with Sherborne.
Wriggle Valley ‘A’ Service:
- The following service runs to and from Sherborne every Friday
- Starting from the Batcombe area at 9:30, the service travels via villages including Chetnole, Leigh, Yetminster, Beer Hackett, Thornford, and Bradford Abbas. The service then drops off in Sherborne before travelling onto Yeovil
- Return journey departs Sherborne at 12:55
- National bus passes are not valid for travel on the service

Wriggle Valley ‘B’ Service:
- The following service runs to and from Sherborne every Friday
- Starting from the Corscombe area at 9:40, the service travels via villages including Halstock, Closworth, Ryme Intrinseca, Yetminster, Beer Hackett, Thornford, and Bradford Abbas. The service then drops off in Sherborne before travelling onto Yeovil
- Return journey departs Sherborne at 12:55
- National bus passes are not valid for travel on the service

How much does it cost?
A return fare costs £9 for the Yeovil ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ services and £6 for the Wriggle Valley ‘A’ and ‘B’ services (reviewed annually).
Yeovil ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ services are cash only, the Wriggle Valley ‘A’ and ‘B’ services accept card/contactless payment.
National bus passes are accepted on the Yeovil ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ services. However, they are not valid for travel on the Wriggle Valley ‘A’ and ‘B’ services.

To use the service, you’ll need to register first. It’s free to join and all you need to do is call us on the number below to get things started.
How to book
Call us on 01258 287 987 between 9:30 and 14:30 Monday to Friday, (excluding bank holidays) or email us at dorset@ectcharity.co.uk. Once registered, trips can be booked up to 2 trips in advance but no later than 14:30 the previous working day or 14:30 the Friday before a bank holiday Monday.
Please note: We do not run on bank holidays. No PlusBus services run between 25th December and 1st January.
