PlusBus services to and from Wimborne Minster
If you’d like to visit the Wimborne market, go to the shops or the supermarket – or to simply get out and about, then the Wimborne PlusBus could be just what you’ve been looking for.
Wimborne ‘A’ Service:
- The following service runs to and from Wimborne every Friday
- Starting from the Alderholt area at 9:30, the service travels via villages including Cripplestyle, Cranborne, Edmondsham, Woodlands, Horton, Horton Heath, Mannington, Holt Heath, Holt, and Furzehill
- Return journey departs 12:30
- The service also does a run to Wimborne from Shapwick, departing Shapwick at 10:45, returning from Wimborne at 12:00
- National Bus Pass holders can travel for zero fare on this service

Wimborne ‘B’ Service:
- The following service runs to and from Wimborne every Friday
- Starting from the East Woodyates area at 9:30, the service travels via villages including Sixpenny Handley, Wimborne St Giles, Gussage All Saints, Gussage St Michael, Long Crichel, Moor Crichel, Manswood, and Witchampton
- Return journey departs 12:30
- National Bus Pass holders can travel for zero fare on this service

How much does it cost?
A return fare costs £9 (reviewed annually). The majority of our PlusBus services are cash only and we are unable to accept any card/contactless payments. We continue to accept the National Bus Pass. Simply present your valid bus pass to the driver each time you travel!

To use the service, you’ll need to register first. It’s free to join and all you need to do is call us on the number below to get things started.
How to book
Call us on 01258 287 987 between 9:30 and 14:30 Monday to Friday, (excluding bank holidays) or email us at dorset@ectcharity.co.uk. Once registered, trips can be booked up to 2 trips in advance but no later than 14:30 the previous working day or 14:30 the Friday before a bank holiday Monday.
Please note: We do not run on bank holidays. No PlusBus services run between 25th December and 1st January.
