ECT Charity has launched its Social Impact Report for 2024/25. The report presents the Social Value created by our operations, calculated using our new Social Value Toolkit, alongside the results of beneficiary surveys that explore how people’s lives have changed or improved as a result of our services.

The report reveals that ECT Charity created a Social Value of £1,256,350 through its work in our communities in the past financial year.  Our Social Value calculations consider the impact of our work in economic terms – costs saved through preserving people’s independence, improving people’s wellbeing and reducing loneliness and social isolation, money saved by community groups travelling together, and even our actions as an employer.

Our survey also reveals the positive social impact our services create. We are helping our service users to access essential services, with 90% agreeing that their ability to do this had improved as a result of our transport. Over two-thirds (68%) of our service users agreed that using our services made them feel less lonely, and 74% agreed that getting out about had made them feel healthier.

“ECT Charity aim to make a positive social impact in each community where we work” said John Chesters, ECT Charity CEO. “This report shows how we are delivering on our charitable purpose, not only improving the quality of life for our service users but also generating a significant economic contribution through our Social Value.”

The report brings together Social Value data, survey results, case studies and user testimony to give the fullest account of the difference ECT Charity is making in our communities. You can download the report here.
