Ealing Community Transport is delighted to announce the arrival of a brand new service – PlusBus Direct. Aimed anyone who finds public transport difficult to use, the service picks up passengers from their door and takes them to our most-requested PlusBus destinations on a particular day of the week, before taking them safely home again afterwards. Destinations include local supermarkets, shopping centres and community centres.
“When we talk to our service users, one thing comes up again and again – the journey there and back is a big part of having a great day out” said Kez Etan, General Manager at Ealing Community Transport. “PlusBus Direct recognises this, by bringing people together for regular trips we can make the journey a more social occasion. It also means better availability for people trying to access these locations.”
The service is reserved for PlusBus members, which is free to join – more information about the application process can be found here. The service currently serves the following destinations either weekly or fortnightly:
