What is PlusBus for Health?

PlusBus for Health is a service that ECT Charity's Ealing operation has offered since 2014 to help patients travel between their homes and GP surgeries. The service aims to reduce the number of GP house calls and missed appointments, while improving the wellbeing of patients by offering them an opportunity to leave their homes and meet new people.

The service is funded by Ealing Clinical Commissioning Group, and is free for GPs and patients to use.

Who can use the service?

Our PlusBus for Health service can be booked by GP practices if patients are having trouble getting to and from the surgery. The service is available throughout the borough of Ealing (which includes Ealing, Hanwell, Acton, Northolt, Greenford, and Southall). If you think you might be eligible to use PlusBus for Health, ask the staff at your GP’s reception to book transport for you.
