The Gillingham Community Shuttle Bus is a door-to-door town shuttle service that connects people in Milton on Stour, Peacemarsh and Wyke with Gillingham town centre – the shops, leisure centre, medical centre and the supermarket.
The service – a trial supported by The Three Rivers Partnership and Dorset Council – runs from 26 February 2026 and operates every Thursday.
The service collects people from their doors and takes them into Gillingham town centre.
Shuttle A collects people from the Milton on Stour area.
Shuttle B collects people from the Peacemarsh area.
Shuttle C collects people from the Wyke area.
The service then runs into town, dropping off at:
A single fare is £2 (£1 for under 16s). Card payments are accepted. National bus passes are not valid for travel on the service.
The service is aimed at anyone in Milton on Stour, Peacemarsh and Wyke who wants to pop into town on a Thursday.
To use the service, you’ll first need to register as a member of our wider PlusBus service. It’s free to join and you can get started here.
To book your place for a particular Thursday, simply call or email us. Once registered, you can book up to a fortnight in advance but no later than 14:30 on the previous working day.
